Well, every beautiful rack of clothes deserves an amazing floor as its accessory, right?

Nordstrom Rack at the Skyview Mall in Flushing, NY (Queens) was recently updated using Ground Strata II carpet in the custom color Nordic Sky along with Hot & Heavy, from our luxury vinyl tile (LVT) collection in the Bolder pattern. With a 20+ year history with Mohawk Group, Nordstrom’s Store Planning team worked directly with Account Executive, Greg Whitman to come up with flooring solutions that not only echo the brand’s image but effectively delivered product with a cost savings.

Ground Strata II, a Duracolor® fiber product, was specified with EcoFlex® NXT backing which allows for higher slab moisture, although it was not required for this specific Nordstrom Rack installation. What’s more, Hot & Heavy LVT replaced polished concrete, which reduced construction by two weeks and provided a significant cost savings to the client.
